ANTHROPOCENE: PAVILLION PROPOSAL
The theme of the Anthropocene raises fundamental questions for how world politics is to be understood. With techno-utopian gusto or more wary eco-Sotarian vigilance.
A 3-dimensional pavilion proposal referencing various breaking points in Western philosophy, collective cognitive dissonance, and the two-way thinking about the crisis we are in/ heading towards as a global civilization. Learning How to Die in the Anthropocene I hand drew 40 visual dialogue sentences featuring neo-Luddism, nuclear threats and possibilities, human isolation, and loneliness in contrast with the achievement of decoding the human genome. The triangular panels are contradicting and simultaneously adding on to each other the argument of what the objective presence is as well as what the future holds.
"Civilizations have marched blindly toward disaster because humans are wired to believe that tomorrow will be much like today." -
